ATLANTA-<\/strong> Delta Air Lines (DL)<\/a> customers are set to experience an enhanced premium travel offering as the airline introduces its latest First Class seats on select refreshed Boeing 737-800 aircraft this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These innovative seats, first introduced in 2022 on Delta’s A321neo aircraft<\/a>, provide customers with increased privacy, additional storage space for personal items, a more robust tray table, and an overall improvement in comfort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delta New First Class Seats<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Mauricio Parise, Vice President of Brand Experience, emphasized Delta’s commitment to delivering a consistent and elevated customer experience throughout the travel journey, ensuring the best products for customers while in flight. The aircraft interiors will undergo select retrofits to provide passengers with more premium options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delta’s efforts extend beyond First Class, as the airline plans to revamp Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin on specific Boeing 737-800 aircraft<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upgraded 10-inch Panasonic seatback screens will offer an enhanced entertainment experience with access to over 1,000 hours of free premium content through Delta Studio. Additionally, upgraded lavatories will feature touchless functionalities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outside the cabin, Delta is enhancing fuel efficiency by installing split-scimitar winglets<\/strong> on the aircraft’s wingtips. This results in an estimated saving of nearly 3.3 million gallons of fuel annually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delta One Cabin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

These cabin enhancements represent the latest stride in Delta’s continuous endeavours to enhance the onboard customer experience and fulfil the airline’s pledge to offer a best-in-class range of products. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delta recently concluded comprehensive cabin updates for its Boeing <\/a>767-400ER aircraft and other widebody planes, incorporating the introduction of Delta Premium Select cabins. Additional cabin enhancements are on the horizon for select Boeing 757 and widebody aircraft in the coming months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Responding to the growing demand for premium travel experiences, Delta is also enlarging the Delta One cabin on its Airbus A350-900<\/a> fleet. Eight additional acclaimed lie-flat suites will be integrated into these long-haul aircraft. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With these modifications, the A350-900 will boast 40 Delta One Suites and 40 seats in the Delta Premium Select cabin. Subsequently, 36 extra-legroom seats in Delta Comfort+ and 159 Main Cabin seats. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initial A350-900 aircraft in this updated configuration is anticipated to commence operations in Summer 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
