SAN FRANCISCO-<\/strong> Expanding on its nearly three years of service at Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS), Avelo Airlines (XP)<\/a> revealed today its plan to designate STS as its latest operational base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opening of this base on May 1st will empower Avelo to extend further the accessibility, affordability, and dependability of its everyday low fares, building upon the offerings it introduced to the region in April 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Avelo Airlines New Base at STS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Andrew Levy, the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Avelo Airlines, expressed, “STS is the type of hometown airport that aligns with our values \u2013 it’s friendly, fast, and easy. Serving as the inaugural destination for Avelo’s first flight in 2021, the Bay Area holds a special place in our history. Over 300,000 customers have since enjoyed Avelo’s everyday low fares, convenience, and reliability while traveling to and from STS. We are enthusiastic about the growth opportunities the airport provides for Avelo, as well as the significant employment and economic contributions our investment will make to the region.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To kick off, Avelo will establish a base for two Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft<\/a> at STS. The airline anticipates employing up to 50 Crewmembers at STS when the base becomes operational in May. This will encompass Pilots, Flight Attendants, and Aviation Maintenance Technicians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Avelo Airlines operates nonstop flights to four destinations from STS:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Avelo provides flights to RDM twice a week (Mondays and Fridays), LAS up to four days per week (Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays), BUR every day except Wednesdays, and PSP up to four days per week (Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Jon Stout, Sonoma County Airport Manager, expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming phase of collaboration with Avelo Airlines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
