DELHI-<\/strong> The flight crew of an IndiGo Airlines (6E)<\/a> flight from Delhi (DEL)<\/a> to Baku (GYD) has been taken off flying duty while the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) <\/a>looks into whether they took off without the necessary air traffic control (ATC) clearance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The departure of the flight to the capital of Azerbaijan occurred at approximately 7:38 pm on January 29.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IndiGo Flight Takeoff without Permission<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

IndiGo has stated that the incident is currently being investigated, and appropriate action will be taken as deemed necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This occurs in the midst of a series of recent incidents involving IndiGo, accompanied by actions taken against the airline by aviation authorities. The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) imposed a fine of Rs 1.2 crore on IndiGo when passengers were observed sitting on the tarmac and eating food while awaiting their delayed flight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the same period as the tarmac incident, a disgruntled passenger was captured on camera striking the pilot of an IndiGo flight while the pilot was making an announcement about delays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several passengers, including actor Radhika Apte, have been sharing their distressing experiences with IndiGo over the past few weeks, criticizing the airline for cancellations, unreasonable delays, and failure to meet standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further, on Jan 26, 2024, a Lucknow-bound\u00a0IndiGo Airlines (6E)<\/a>\u00a0flight faced delays at Mumbai Airport (BOM) when a passenger asserted the presence of a bomb under his seat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incident unfolded during heightened security measures for Republic Day celebrations. Mumbai police reported the occurrence on Indigo flight number 6E5264 from\u00a0Mumbai (BOM)<\/a>\u00a0to Lucknow (LKO).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
