DELHI-<\/strong> A 63-year-old French national who lost consciousness at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL)<\/a> was rescued by a CISF personnel<\/a>, according to a spokesperson for the force on Sunday. The personnel promptly applied cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to revive the man.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incident occurred around noon on January 26 when Bertrand Patrick was in line for a security check before boarding a Vistara (UK) Airlines <\/a>flight to Paris. However, Mr. Patrick fainted in the security hold area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CISF Saves Life of French Man<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

CISF Sub-Inspector Puneet Kumar Tiwari, stationed nearby working on the x-ray scanner, quickly responded, administering CPR, which successfully revived the passenger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A doctor based at the IGI was summoned, and he provided the initial medical care to the passenger, as mentioned by the spokesperson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Patrick exhibited rapid improvement, and the doctor subsequently deemed him fit to proceed with the flight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Thanks to the vigilance and swift response of the CISF personnel, a valuable life was preserved,” stated the official.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CPR, an emergency life-saving technique employed when the heart ceases to beat, was administered in this situation. The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is responsible for offering counter-terrorist security coverage at the IGI airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The passenger was seen fainting and unconscious, while CISF personnel were seen giving CPR. After a few minutes, he regained consciousness, and his life was saved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the source, the person was traveling with Indigo Airlines. His son also thanked the CISF and Indigo staff for helping his father and saving his life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
