BENGALURU-<\/strong> Mahindra Aerostructures Pvt Ltd (MASPL) and Airbus <\/a>Aerostructures GmbH have entered into a fresh agreement for the production and supply of metallic components for all Airbus commercial aircraft models, encompassing the popular A320 family<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In adherence to this contract, MASPL will furnish nearly 5000 different types of metallic components to Airbus in Germany<\/a>, with manufacturing taking place at its facility in India<\/a>. This agreement serves as an expansion of the ongoing MASPL initiatives involving the direct delivery of parts to Airbus at their facilities in Toulouse, France<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vinod Sahay, President of Aerospace & Defence and Chief Procurement Officer for Auto & Farm Sectors at Mahindra, expressed the Mahindra Group’s pride in its association with Airbus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new contract signifies an expansion of this partnership, aligning with the ‘Make In India’ <\/strong>initiative of the Government of India. Sahay emphasized the commitment to delivering on these engagements, fostering collaborative growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arvind Mehra, Managing Director and CEO of Mahindra Aerostructures conveyed MASPL’s privilege in serving as an Airbus supplier, acknowledging Airbus’s continuous support for their growth endeavors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further, this contract extension not only broadens MASPL’s Airbus portfolio significantly but also presents additional avenues for collaboration with Airbus on aspects such as performance, sustainability, and operational excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2015, MASPL has been a direct supplier to the Airbus Group and has actively collaborated on various initiatives. The company has achieved recognition, being ranked as a D2P “Challenger” for three consecutive years in the Sheet Metal domain. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, it holds a level “A” rating in the Airbus Industrial Process Capability Assessment (IPCA+). Subsequently, in 2023, it received the “Best Performer” award in the Airbus Supplier Quality Improvement Program (SQIP) awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
