COLOGNE-<\/strong> The Lufthansa (LH) Group<\/a> has outlined plans to hire approximately 13,000 new employees<\/strong> across diverse professions in 2024. There is a specific emphasis on recruiting new talent for cockpit and cabin positions, as well as technicians and individuals in the field of IT. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Opportunities are also available in various other areas, including ground staff positions at Lufthansa hubs in Frankfurt <\/a>and Munich<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lufthansa to Hire New Employees<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The recruitment initiative aims to bring in over 3,500 individuals for cabin roles, about 1,000 for cockpit positions, approximately 2,000 technicians, around 800 trainees, and roughly 900 IT experts to augment the Lufthansa Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Michael Niggemann, Member of the Executive Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG overseeing Human Resources and Infrastructure, emphasized the critical role of dedicated employees in the aviation industry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He highlighted the ongoing commitment to attract new talent and maintain an appealing workplace, recognizing that colleagues both in the air and on the ground play a pivotal role in shaping the identity of their brands and companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2023, Lufthansa successfully brought on board more than 13,000 new employees. Currently, the Lufthansa Group has a workforce of over 95,000 individuals spread across more than 90 countries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, the Lufthansa Group<\/a> is actively in the process of establishing its new subsidiary, \u201cCity Airlines,<\/a>\u201d which is earmarked to manage feeder traffic to and from Munich and Frankfurt. To effectively carry out this role, City Airlines requires its own adequately sized fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the immediate future, this fleet will be comprised of existing Airbus A319s<\/a>, and in the medium term, the airline is set to integrate 40 new Airbus A220-300s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
