DELHI-<\/strong> Travelers on two Air India (AI)<\/a> flights encountered delays totaling over eight hours and an additional two and a half hours, which were attributed to adverse weather conditions at Delhi Airport (DEL)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air India Flight AI185<\/strong>, scheduled to depart from Delhi to Vancouver (YVR)<\/a>, was unable to take off as planned due to unsuitable weather conditions at the Delhi airport. After eight hours of waiting, the flight, which was prepared for takeoff at 5:15 in the morning with all passengers on board, had to be grounded due to low visibility, according to an Air India official speaking to ANI<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air India Flights Delayed<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Numerous passengers expressed concerns about being unable to disembark and wait inside the terminal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline later clarified, stating, “The decision was based on the time-consuming process of rechecking and security clearance post-de-boarding, leading them to choose passengers waiting inside the plane.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flight cancellation was also attributed to Flight Duty Time Limitation (FDTL) restrictions affecting the crew members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Consequently, the affected flight was canceled, prompting Air India to offer accommodation options for all passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rescheduled departure was slated for tonight at around 11:15 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a separate incident, an Air India flight, AI120<\/strong>, from Frankfurt (FRA)<\/a> to Delhi landed at the airport at approximately 7:48 am. Due to a full parking space at the airport, the aircraft captain faced challenges for about two and a half hours in finding a suitable parking spot for the aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to an airport official, all flights were placed on hold due to adverse weather conditions, resulting in a full parking situation at the airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The capital is presently grappling with intense cold and dense fog, causing disruptions in both domestic and international flight schedules, impacting both departures and arrivals<\/p>\n\n\n\n
