TOULOUSE-<\/strong> In 2023, Airbus <\/a>successfully delivered a total of 735 aircraft<\/strong>, surpassing its initial full-year delivery goal of 720.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, the company secured a remarkable net order count of 2,094 aircraft, setting a new record for Airbus compared to the 820 orders obtained the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Airbus Orders in 2023<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This marks the first instance where Airbus has achieved over 2,000 net orders in a single year. The previous highest net total was 1,503 in 2013, driven by robust numbers in the A320neo-family<\/a> and widebody categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Airbus reported gross orders for 2,319 aircraft, marking the highest gross total since 2014 when it recorded 1,796 orders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the fourth quarter, the aircraft manufacturer successfully delivered 247 aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The annual deliveries included 571 A320neo-family jets, 64 A350s, 32 A330s, and 68 A220s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2022, Airbus delivered 663 aircraft, although the formal total was adjusted to 661 due to a pair of A350s <\/a>that could not be delivered to Russia’s Aeroflot owing to sanctions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boeing, in comparison, delivered 528 commercial aircraft throughout the year, with 157 deliveries in the fourth quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A321neo from New Toulouse Assembly Line<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Recently, Airbus <\/a>achieved a milestone by successfully delivering the inaugural Airbus A321neo<\/a> assembled at its recently inaugurated A320 Family Final Assembly Line (FAL) situated in Toulouse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pegasus Airlines, a prominent low-cost carrier (LCC) in Turkey, will operate the A321neo, marking the initial delivery from Airbus\u2019 cutting-edge production facility. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Housed in the former A380 <\/a>\u201cJean-Luc Lagard\u00e8re\u201d building, this assembly line exemplifies Airbus\u2019 dedication to modernization and its commitment to meeting the escalating global demand for the A321neo, now representing almost 65% of the Airbus A320 Family order backlog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pegasus Airlines (PC) <\/a>currently operates a fleet of 93 Airbus aircraft, comprising 6 A320ceo, 46 A320neo, and 41 A321neo. Additionally, the airline has 68 A321neos on order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delivery of this aircraft to Pegasus Airlines marks the commencement of the production escalation at the new Toulouse Final Assembly Line (FAL).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Collaborating with other A320 Family FALs in Hamburg (Germany<\/a>), Mobile (USA), and Tianjin (China<\/a>), the Toulouse facility aims to contribute to Airbus\u2019 objective of manufacturing 75 A320 Family aircraft per month by the year 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
