SYDNEY-<\/strong> The inaugural QantasLink<\/a> (regional subsidiary of Qantas<\/a>) Airbus A220 aircraft has successfully landed in Sydney<\/a>, marking a significant milestone in the Group’s fleet renewal initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sporting a distinctive indigenous livery, the aircraft completed its journey from Airbus’s facility in Mirabel, Canada<\/a>, with stops in Vancouver, Honolulu, and Nadi (Fiji) before touching down at midday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qantas A220: New Domestic Chapter Begins<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This marks the introduction of the first 29 Airbus A220s<\/a> slated for delivery to QantasLink as part of the broader domestic fleet renewal program, which includes an additional 36 widebody aircraft on order. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The A220s, with their 137-seat capacity, boast double the range of the Boeing <\/a>717s they are replacing. This extended range enables them to operate non-stop between any two points within Australia<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
