The in-flight introduction of the new global brand identity is intricately tied to the imminent induction of the Airbus A350 fleet, followed by the refurbishment of cabin products in the coming months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Campbell Wilson remarked, &#8220;This is a transformation of significant scale, and thus, it may take some time to achieve consistency in our product, service, and the overall &#8216;new Air India experience.&#8217; We will continue to seek the support of our guests as we modernize Air India and elevate it to the status of a world-class airline that India truly deserves.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier this year, Air India made groundbreaking orders for 470 aircraft from Airbus and Boeing, valued at US$ 70 billion (at published list prices). The highly anticipated Airbus A350 aircraft is set to commence arrivals this month. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A substantial US$ 400 million project for refurbishing 43 of Air India&#8217;s legacy widebody aircraft will begin in mid-2024. This initiative will involve installing new seats in every cabin, introducing new inflight entertainment systems, and providing Wi-Fi internet connectivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last week, Air India unveiled new uniforms for its cabin and cockpit crews, designed by the renowned Indian couturier Manish Malhotra. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The phased introduction of the new uniforms will commence over the next few months, coinciding with the entry of Air India&#8217;s first Airbus A350.
