GURUGRAM-<\/strong> Tata-owned Air India Group<\/a>, which is formed by a coalition of four carriers, has added 10 new aircraft in around 40 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The information was first reported by X (Formerly Twitter) user JetArena<\/em>, which shows the complete timeline of delivery from November until the 10th of December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air India Group New Aircraft<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Now, let us see all these newly inducted aircraft in terms of their delivery schedule. Further, we have gathered additional information on the number of aircraft type in the fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On November 1, 2023, Air India (AI) took delivery of a brand new Airbus A320neo<\/a>. The aircraft is taken on lease and is registered as VT-RTQ<\/strong>. The aircraft is the 28th one to join the A320neo fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One week later, on November 8, 2023, Air India took delivery of another new A320neo. The aircraft is registered as VT-RTO<\/strong> and is the 29th one to join the fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, on November 15, 2023, the airline took delivery of a new A320neo registered as VT-RTP<\/strong> and 30th neo to join the fleet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 27 November 2023, Air India took delivery of a new A320neo, registered as VT-RTT<\/strong>, which is the 31st neo in the fleet. Remember all these A320neo are taken on lease and are powered by CFM engines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, on November 29, 2023, Vistara (UK) <\/a>took delivery of its sixth Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The aircraft has the registration VT-TSH<\/strong>. It’s brand new but a 3-year-old and was stuck due to manufacturing issues with 787-type aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the last day of November, Air India took the 32nd A320neo on lease. The aircraft has a registration VT-RTH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

December Deliveries<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This month, on December 1, 2023, the low-cost arm, Air India Express (IX)<\/a>, took delivery of the new and fourth Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft<\/a>. The aircraft is registered as VT-BXB<\/strong>. Similar to the 787, the aircraft is 4.3 years old and was earlier designated to China Eastern Yunnan Airlines (MU).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On December 7, 2023, Air India added the 33rd A320neo, registered as VT-RTG<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two days later, on December 79, 2023, Vistara took delivery of Airbus A320neo. This one is the 49th neo to join the fleet and is registered as VT-TQT<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lastly, today, December 10, 2023, Air India Express added the 5th new 737 MAX 8 in the fleet. The aircraft is registered as VT-BXH <\/strong>and is 4.6 years old and was earlier designated for Air China (CA)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To conclude, over the past 40 days, TATA Group airlines have acquired a total of 10 new aircraft. This comprises 2 Boeing 737 MAX 8, 7 Airbus A320neo, and 1 Boeing 787.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Airbus A350 Delivery Update<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Air India CEO Wilson Campbell announced that the airline plans to feature two of its new planes at the Hyderabad WINGS festival in January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the two aircraft Air India plans to feature, one is a wide-body\u00a0Airbus A350<\/a>, marking India\u2019s inaugural presence of such an aircraft. The well-known\u00a0Boeing 737 MAX<\/a>\u00a0will be the second showcased plane, featuring Air India\u2019s new branding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, he noted the completion of the title transfer for the fourth A350, slated to join the fleet in February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As\u00a0Air India (AI)<\/a>\u00a0prepares for the imminent delivery of its initial\u00a0Airbus A350<\/a>\u00a0aircraft later this month, the airline is enhancing its in-house capabilities to perform maintenance tasks on the widebody planes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Approximately 30 engineers have undergone original equipment manufacturer (OEM) training at the Airbus <\/a>facility in Toulouse, with some individuals completing courses related to the aircraft\u2019s structure and engine run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the latest update, the airline has dispatched three groups of engineers from Air India Group subsidiaries, namely Air India, Vistara, and AIX Connect, for specialized training sessions in Toulouse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the completion of these training sessions, these engineers will return in time to facilitate the delivery of the new A350 \u2013 a historic milestone for an Indian airline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
