PARIS-<\/strong> Fort-Worth-based carrier American Airlines (AA)<\/a> flight from Paris (CDG) <\/a>to Philadelphia (PHL) during takeoff suffered a bird strike at 5,000 feet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incident occurred yesterday (December 4, 2023). The major US carrier operates daily flights between the capital city of France and the Capital City of Brotherly Love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, let us establish a flight timeline with the help of FlightRadar24<\/em> (FR24) data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to FR24, the American Airlines flight AA755 <\/strong>took off from Charles de Gaulle International Airport (CDG) in Paris at around 12:42 PM UTC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Immediately after takeoff, the flight was hit by a bird, and the crew decided to make an emergency landing back in Paris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the completion of the checklists, the American flight crew made the decision to return to Paris. They ascended the Dreamliner to FL100 to discharge fuel and safely landed on runway 09R in Paris approximately 55 minutes after departure at around 1:37 PM UTC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The maintenance staff at Paris evaluated the extent of the damage. After certifying the aircraft to fly, the flight took off again after two hours and landed safely in Philadelphia eight hours later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft involved in the incident is the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner<\/a>, which has the registration N811AB. According to planespotters.net data, the aircraft is eight years old and is powered by two GEnX engines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier on August 28, 2023, during its approach to Phoenix, an American Airlines (AA) <\/a>Airbus A319, operating flight AA761 from San Jose, California, to Phoenix, Arizona (USA), encountered a bird strike<\/a> that impacted the aircraft\u2019s nose cone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite this incident, the aircraft managed to land safely on runway 07R at Phoenix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)<\/a> provided information that the aircraft encountered a bird strike, resulting in a dent on the nose cone in Phoenix, AZ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft involved in the incident is Airbus <\/a>A319-100, registered as N836AW<\/strong>. According to Planespotters.net, the aircraft is 17.9 years old and was delivered to US Airways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
