AYODHYA-<\/strong> UP CM Yogi Adityanath shared that the Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport’s<\/a> initial construction phase 1 is set to be ready by December 15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Saturday, Adityanath, along with Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Union Minister of State V K Singh, inspected the ongoing construction of the Ayodhya airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ayodhya Airport Phase 1 Getting Ready<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

During their visit, they held a review meeting with key officials, who presented updates on the progress of the airport’s construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later, Shri Yogi Adityanath informed, “Ayodhya is becoming a symbol of New India, in harmony with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s<\/a> vision for the sacred city of Lord Shri Ram.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“At first, Ayodhya had a small airstrip covering 178 acres, but now it’s transforming into a significant international airport.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The state government allocated 821 acres, and construction of the airport is underway at an accelerated pace under the supervision of the Airports Authority of India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Union Civil Aviation<\/a> Minister, highlighted that the airport project is designed to resonate with the cultural essence of Ayodhya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ayodhya Airport’s Future Plans <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

“In the initial phase, we’re constructing a 65,000-square-ft terminal capable of handling two to three flights per hour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A 2,200-metre runway is also underway, enabling the landing of larger aircraft like Boeing 737, Airbus 319, and Airbus 320, alongside smaller aircraft,” he added. The initial development plan includes setting up eight aprons at the location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The second phase will extend the runway to 3,700 meters, enabling direct landings in Ayodhya for all international aircraft like Boeing 787 and Boeing 777. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, in this phase, the aircraft apron will be expanded to a substantial five lakh square feet for future use,” explained the Union Minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Maryada Purshottam Shri Ram International Airport is emerging 8 kilometers from the Ram temple site, situated alongside the Gorakhpur-Lucknow national highway. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In April of the previous year, the state civil aviation department entered into a lease agreement, transferring 318 acres to the Airports Authority of India (AAI)<\/a> for the development of the airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
