WEST CHESTER-<\/strong> SunExpress (XQ)<\/a>, a prominent leisure carrier and a collaborative venture between Turkish Airlines (TK)<\/a> and Lufthansa, intends to acquire as many as 180 LEAP-1B engines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These engines will propel up to 90 Boeing 737-8 and 737-10 aircraft, as revealed during the Dubai Airshow on November 13. Additionally, the airline plans to procure spare engines to provide comprehensive support for its expanding fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SunExpress, a patron of CFM since its inception in 1989, operates an exclusive fleet of all 737 aircraft. The airline currently possesses 49 737-800s equipped with CFM56-7B engines and 11 737-8s, with an additional 33 aircraft pending delivery from a previous 2014 order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
