LONDON-<\/strong> A Fort Worth-based American Airlines (AA)<\/a> flight from Barcelona (BCN) to New York (JFK)<\/a> is making an emergency landing in London Heathrow (LHR)<\/a> due to technical issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AA9600<\/strong>, originally scheduled to return to JFK, is currently being diverted to London, where American Airlines has a maintenance facility, reported flightradar24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

American Airlines Emergency Landing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to Flightradar24, American Airlines flight AA9600 took off from Barcelona at around 1:45 PM UTC. After being airborne for almost one hour, the flight reported some issues with the aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the technical snag, the flight crew contacted ATC and decided to divert to London Heathrow (LHR). At the time of writing this post, the aircraft was over the English Channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
