CHICAGO-<\/strong> United Airlines (UA) <\/a>has announced its plans to introduce non-stop flights between the United States and the soon-to-open Tulum International Airport (TQO) in Mexico<\/a>, commencing March 31, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Totaling 22 weekly services, these flights will connect Newark\/New York, Houston, and Chicago<\/a>. Additionally, starting on May 23, United will include daily seasonal service from Los Angeles, resulting in up to five daily flights from United’s hubs to Tulum during the upcoming summer season. The flights will be available for purchase starting November 18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

United New Flights to Tulum<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As Mexico maintains its status as a leading leisure destination, Tulum has rapidly gained popularity among American travelers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Positioned approximately 90 miles south of Cancun, the newly established Tulum International Airport will provide United customers with more direct access to the city, opening up additional opportunities to explore the highly sought-after Riviera Maya region. This complements United’s existing services to Cancun and Cozumel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Patrick Quayle, United’s senior vice president of Network Planning and Alliances, expressed enthusiasm about the new route, stating, “Tulum is a top destination for many travelers, boasting great beaches, restaurants, and a region with a rich history and breathtaking natural beauty. Our new direct flights offer a faster way for people to reach this unique destination in Mexico, providing them with more time to enjoy all that Tulum has to offer.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boeing 777 Flights <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the upcoming winter season, United is set to become the predominant airline connecting the U.S. to the Riviera Maya region, marking its highest volume of flights to Cancun in history. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

United’s winter schedule includes over 200 weekly flights from eight U.S. cities to Cancun, featuring the use of the airline’s Boeing 777 widebody aircraft for routes originating from Chicago, Denver, and Houston. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, United will uphold its services between Cozumel and Chicago, Denver, and Houston, maintaining up to 11 weekly flights throughout the winter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

United’s commitment to growth extends to the broader Latin America and Caribbean region, with a 25% expansion in its network planned for this winter. In doing so, United is positioned to retain its status as the largest U.S. airline serving Central America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

United Winter Schedule<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

United’s winter schedule for the Caribbean and Latin America boasts several additional enhancements, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
