GOA- <\/strong>The Goa Police apprehended a couple traveling from Goa <\/a>to Bengaluru <\/a>on Tuesday night for reportedly causing panic at Dabolim International Airport. Fellow passengers raised concerns after overhearing the duo discuss a ‘bomb in their luggage’ during a security check. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The individuals in question are identified as Atul Kumar Kewat (29) from Madhya Pradesh and Tritiya Jana (29), a native of Kolkata. Both software engineers and the couple had visited Goa for a vacation and were en route to Bengaluru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flight Faces Bomb Threat<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As per police reports, the incident unfolded at 11:42 pm on Tuesday during the security check of an IndiGo <\/a>flight from Goa to Bengaluru. While waiting in the queue, fellow passengers overheard the accused discussing a bomb in their luggage and promptly alerted a security officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a senior police officer, passengers reported the alleged bomb threat, prompting the airline’s security officer to inform CISF officials. Subsequently, an anti-sabotage sweep was conducted in the terminal area and the check-in baggage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the security check, the threat was deemed ‘non-specific’ or a ‘hoax.’ Nevertheless, the incident caused panic among passengers, leading to the de-boarding of several individuals. The flight experienced significant delays and eventually took off later in the morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
