ISLAMABAD-<\/strong> The slogan for Pakistan International Airlines (PK)<\/a> is “Great People to Fly With.” However, now, the definition of these “great people” will be individuals aged 50 years and older, and there is a specific rationale behind this decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the disappearance of four senior flight attendants who were working on two flights from Islamabad, Pakistan, to Toronto, Canada, within a week after clearing immigration in Canada, PIA made an announcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response to this incident on Friday, the airline declared that only airline staff aged 50 years and older will be permitted to work on its flights from North America to Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This measure aims to reduce the appeal for senior flight attendants to relocate to Canada or other Western countries based on their age. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The decision is rooted in the expectation that individuals aged 50 and above may encounter challenges securing employment, making settling in Canada more difficult.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The financially struggling Pakistan flag carrier garnered attention recently due to its economic woes and extensive flight cancellations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In certain instances, the airline faced difficulties in covering fuel expenses. It was only after October 30 that PIA resumed its normal operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flight Returned without Her<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Following their clearance through Canadian immigration in Toronto, PIA flight attendants managed to leave PK772. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Subsequently, when the plane, PK773, returned to Islamabad the next day, it had to depart without them. Officials from Pakistan International Airlines reported these incidents to Canadian Immigration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pakistan stands out as one of the leading source countries for new immigrants to Canada, with a current population of over 300,000 Pakistani individuals residing in the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The majority of Pakistani residents are concentrated in Ontario, particularly in areas such as Toronto, Mississauga, and Milton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
