With an improvement in the supply chain, the remaining two will be restored to operational status soon.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon the Tatas&#8217; takeover, Air India possessed over 30 &#8216;long-grounded&#8217; aircraft in its fleet, encompassing wide and narrowbody planes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sources indicate that, beyond components, extensive renovations were undertaken, including a makeover of the cabin interiors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Thousands of seats across all these aircraft were repaired, and the inflight entertainment systems were reinstated in as many old aircraft as possible. In certain instances, <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/2023\/06\/06\/air-india-required-30-thousand-new-parts-to-fly-its-grounded-boeing-787\/\">more than 30,000 spare parts per aircraft<\/a> were needed.
