BEIJING-<\/strong> Starting mid-January 2024, Air China (CA) <\/a>intends to recommence its Shanghai Pu Dong to Munich route, with an initial schedule of three weekly flights utilizing the Airbus<\/a> A350-900XWB aircraft. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Flight Connections, As of November 2023, Air China, a member of the Star Alliance, operates flights to 132 domestic destinations and 60 international destinations across 39 countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air China Resumes Flights To Munich<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Star Alliance carrier is set to commence operations on this route on January 17, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flight CA827 departs from Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) at 01:30 and arrives in Munich (MUC) at 06:25 on certain days, using an Airbus A350-900 aircraft. The flight operates on days 3, 5, and 7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flight CA828 departs from Munich (MUC) at 12:20 and arrives at Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) at 06:20 the following day on the same aircraft type. This flight also operates on days 3, 5, and 7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air China Likely to Start Los Angeles Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Given the current limitations on flights between the U.S. and China, this strategic move allows them to serve New York without significantly impacting their Los Angeles service, reported Viewfromthewing<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While Air China has a partnership with United Airlines (UA)<\/a>, they aim to focus on offering one-stop same-aircraft connections rather than working closely with United at Newark, which is not the same as New York JFK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s important to note that Air China will only carry their own connecting passengers on the New York JFK to Los Angeles flight. It won\u2019t be possible to purchase a ticket solely for that flight, and this service will operate in one direction only, from Los Angeles to New York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
