DELHI-<\/strong> Vistara (UK)<\/a> plans to introduce several new International routes in the upcoming quarter as it nears the conclusion of its tenure as an independent Indian carrier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During an event marking the inauguration of Vistara’s daily Delhi-Hong Kong service on Monday, Kannan made the announcement. He shared that the full-service airline’s main purpose for these newly-ordered aircraft is to enhance its international routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vistara Plans 40% International Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The airline has previously declared its intentions to initiate flights from Delhi (DEL)<\/a> to Bali and from Mumbai (BOM) to Frankfurt (FRA). Kannan mentioned that the airline is also considering the potential addition of a route to Paris from the Indian financial hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tata Group and Singapore Airlines (SQ)<\/a> are actively merging Vistara with Air India (AI).<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once granted the merger approvals, Vistara will improve its flight schedules and make updates to various elements, such as uniforms, aircraft livery, and airport signage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline currently runs a fleet of 63 aircraft, primarily consisting of Airbus <\/a>single-aisle jets, along with a few Boeing 787s<\/a>, serving 32 domestic and 16 international destinations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vistara Future Goals<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Vinod Kannan states, “We are committed to further international expansion, and we anticipate a sustained increase in demand. In the first quarter of the upcoming year, we have plans to introduce two or three additional new routes.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Kannan, Vistara aims for international flights to make up 40 percent of its operations by the end of the fiscal year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
