DELHI-<\/strong> Tata-owned Indian FSC Air India (AI) <\/a>has updated the winter schedule for 2023\/24 with new flights to the United States (US) <\/a>Routes, including Newark (EWR), San Francisco (SFO), and Washington DC (IAD).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few days back, Air India introduced special airfare for US routes in both Economy Class and Premium Economy Class. Economy Class fares, which include all fees, start at INR 42,999<\/strong> for one-way travel and INR 52,999<\/strong> for return trips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air India Adds More US Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Air India has announced an expansion of its services on three routes departing from Delhi (DEL)<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. The Delhi to Washington D.C. <\/a>(IAD) route will see the addition of a fourth weekly flight, effective from November 21.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. A fourth weekly flight will be introduced on the Delhi to Newark (EWR)<\/a> route starting November 27.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. The Delhi to San Francisco (SFO)<\/a> route will experience an increase in frequency with the introduction of an eleventh weekly flight commencing from November 24.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The Indian carrier operates 47 non-stop flights<\/strong> each week from Delhi, Bengaluru, and Mumbai to five American cities: New York, Newark (New Jersey), Washington DC, Chicago, and San Francisco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    AI Plans Dallas Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Air India (AI) is planning to start the new flight to Dallas (DFW)<\/a> and other US cities<\/a> with the arrival of the first Airbus A350<\/a> batch in the coming months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    India\u2019s leading international carrier is evaluating India to Dallas routes as it prepares to induct the first A350 by November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Certain senior sales executives recently met with Gateway Tours and Travels\u2019s CEO and other high-ranking officials associated with scholartrip.com and based in Dallas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    There is a high possibility that the airline start new flights between Hyderabad (HYD) <\/a>and Dallas (DFW). Furthermore, the Tata Group-backed carrier is also considering and evaluating the possibility of starting flights to other US cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Other Possible US Routes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Air India (AI) is actively considering operating flights to additional US cities, including Los Angeles (LAX), as part of its expansion strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Reliable sources within the airline have disclosed to TOI<\/a><\/em> that the company is currently evaluating various metrics to determine the feasibility of these new routes<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Los Angeles and Boston have emerged as prime contenders for the airline\u2019s long-haul flights from India. Air India\u2019s management is meticulously assessing these cities to ascertain their viability as new destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Further, the process of selecting a new destination requires a thorough evaluation of several critical factors. This includes fleet size, pilot strength, and traffic volume on the route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
