At 15:58 local time, the Boeing 777<\/a> executed a safe landing at Baku airport with a total of 301 passengers and 16 crew members aboard, reported Azer News<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft is undergoing a comprehensive inspection, and a series of essential procedures are underway to ascertain all the details and factors contributing to this incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air Canada flight AC42 took off from Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ) at around 12:26 AM UTC. After being airborne for almost ten hours, the flight crew reported some issues with the left engine oil pressure level and decided to divert to the nearest airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flight crew decided to divert to Azerbaijan’s Heydar Airport and made an emergency landing at around 11:50 AM UTC. Almost after 12 hours from its departure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft involved in the incident is a Boeing 777-200LR and has registration C-FIVK. Further, it is a 15.8 years old aircraft and is powered by GE Engines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flag carrier Air France (AF)<\/a> flight AF328 from Paris (CDG)<\/a> to Ottawa (YOV), Canada<\/a>, declared an emergency and diverted back to CDG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
