ATLANTA-<\/strong> Delta Air Lines (DL)<\/a> has introduced a selection of 18 liveTV channels on specific Boeing 767-400 aircraft<\/a> that operate long-haul routes within the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The content is available via the seatback screens and is the result of a collaboration between Delta, DirecTV, and Viasat. Notably, this marks the first time that a U.S.-based airline has integrated live TV into the seatback screens on its domestic widebody aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delta LiveTV on Domestic Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The live TV lineup encompasses a wide range of content: sports, news, weather, and a vast library of movies and television series. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delta’s Boeing 767-400 aircraft will provide access to channels like ABC, Bravo, CBS, CNBC, CNN, ESPN, ESPN2, Food Network, Golf, Fox, HGTV, Fox News, HGTV, MSNBC, NBC, NFL Network, TBS, Telemundo, TNT, and USA. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These offerings can be accessed via Delta’s seatback screens, equipped with Panasonic IFE systems and made available through the Viasat satellite network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Live TV is a vital component of our commitment to delivering a connected living room experience on Delta flights, regardless of the traveler’s destination,” remarked Ekrem Dimbiloglu, Managing Director of In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity at Delta Air Lines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We view the aircraft as the ultimate platform for entertainment and exploration, and achieving this milestone brings us one step closer to transforming that vision into reality across an increasing number of routes.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Doug Eichler, Senior Vice President at DirecTV Business Solutions, added, “We are excited not only to introduce our top-tier live TV service to Delta Air Lines but also to make aviation history by being the first to offer this kind of in-flight entertainment.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
