CASABLANCA-<\/strong> Royal Air Maroc (AT)<\/a>, the Moroccan airline, is actively pursuing the acquisition of 150 aircraft<\/strong> valued at approximately $25 billion, as disclosed by the company’s CEO, Abdelhamid Addou, on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This strategic move aims to significantly expand the airline’s fleet from its current count of 50 aircraft to a total of 200. Looking at the airline’s fleet, the next order will likely be from Boeing<\/a>, and we can expect mixed orders of 737 MAX <\/a>and 787s<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Royal Air Maroc New Order<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The primary objective of this deal is to connect Morocco with the global community further, transforming Casablanca into a prominent tourist destination capable of accommodating a substantial influx of tourists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This endeavor aligns with Morocco’s selection as a potential host for the 2030 FIFA World Cup in partnership with Spain <\/a>and Portugal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abdelhamid Addou emphasized that the airline is expediting its aircraft acquisition plans, moving away from the original timeline of a 15-year procurement strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
