ALASKA-<\/strong> Tata-owned Indian FSC Air India (AI) <\/a>Charter flight by the Indian Army has landed safely at Fairbanks in Alaska, USA<\/a>. The flight will bring the Indian army personnel back to India after their Joint military exercise with the US Army.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further, this also marks the inaugural flight of the first leased Ex-Etihad Airways (EY) Boeing 777<\/a>, which Air India now operates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air India Charter Flight<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This is not the first time that the Indian army has chartered Air India 777 for the purpose. A few days back, they did the same to take army personnel from India to the US; this time, they did it now to bring them back home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, let us establish the flight timeline with FlightRadar24. Air India flight AI1187 <\/strong>took off from Delhi (DEL)<\/a> at around 3:40 AM UTC. After being airborne for almost 13 hours and 45 minutes, the flight landed safely at Fairbanks (FAI) at around 5:22 PM UTC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boeing 777-300ER operated the flight, registered as VT-AER. It is a 9.9-year-old aircraft and was previously operated by Etihad Airways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
