MUMBAI-<\/strong> The flag carrier of Pearl of Africa, Uganda Airlines (UR)<\/a>, has completed its first flight between Entebbe (EBB) and Mumbai (BOM)<\/a>. The African airline deployed its flagship and brand new Airbus A330<\/a> to serve this route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Aviation A2Z Team was invited to the launch event a few days back, and we are honored to be part of this event. Further, we are glad to share some exclusive insights about this flight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uganda Airlines Mumbai Flight<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The flight UR430 took off from Entebbe (EBB) at around 10:39 AM UTC. After being airborne for almost six hours and 30 minutes, the flight landed safely at Mumbai International Airport (BOM) at around 5:09 PM UTC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flight is operated by Airbus A330, registered as 5X-NIL. Further, it is a two years and nine months old aircraft. Rolls Royce (RR) engines power it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adedayo Olawuyi, Uganda Airlines\u2019 Chief Commercial Officer, revealed that \u2018the maiden Entebbe-Mumbai flight is scheduled for October 7. The airline plans to operate three flights per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Launch Event<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The four renowned personalities, including H.E. Prof. Joyce K Kikafunda, High Commissioner of Uganda to India, H.E. Madhusudan Agarwal, Honorable Consul Uganda, Mumbai-Western Zone, H.E Vinod Saraogi, Hon. Consul Uganda Chennai-Southern Zone and Adedayo Olawuyi, the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of Uganda Airlines headed the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They all highlighted the importance of this most awaited route between India and Uganda. Further, they described the significance of the Indian community in Uganda and their role in developing the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The relationship between these two developing countries is 100 years old. Indian Community has been traveling to Uganda for leisure, business, and to experience the unique wildlife beauty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mumbai, formerly known as Bombay, is India\u2019s largest commercial city and ranks as the sixth most populous metropolitan area globally, with approximately 23 million inhabitants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The direct flight will further strengthen the relationship between\u00a0India\u00a0<\/a>and Uganda. Additionally, it will facilitate closer connections between Ugandan and Indian families, fostering appreciation for cultural differences and events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
