NOIDA-<\/strong> The eagerly anticipated launch of the Noida International Airport (DXN) <\/a>is rapidly approaching, with ambitious plans to commence operations featuring a robust schedule of up to 65 daily flights by the end of the coming year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a report by Aditya Dev in TOI, the flight schedule breakdown reveals that Noida International Airport (NIAL), a special-purpose entity operating under the jurisdiction of the Uttar Pradesh government, intends to allocate 62 of these daily services to domestic routes, addressing the increasing demand within India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Noida Airport Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The two flights will be directed to foreign destinations, marking Noida International Airport’s entry onto the global aviation scene. Furthermore, the airport will also support cargo transportation, with one daily flight exclusively dedicated to cargo services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Noida International Airport, which recently secured its IATA <\/a>code DXN, is scheduled to inaugurate its initial phase in October 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regarding the specific flight routes, officials have revealed that aside from major cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Pune, discussions are in progress to incorporate shorter-distance flights to destinations such as Dehradun, Pithoragarh, and various other locations within the initial route network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This careful route planning process relies on a thorough evaluation, taking into account factors like airport capacity, commercial viability, and valuable input from the airline industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to NIAL CEO Arun Vir Singh, “Once the airport becomes operational, flights to foreign destinations will also commence. Dubai and Singapore could be among the first ones.” Singh also disclosed that two prominent carriers, IndiGo and Air India, have expressed strong interest in establishing bases at Noida International Airport, leading to ongoing negotiations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Projections suggest that by the end of its inaugural year of operation, Noida International Airport expects to serve approximately 5 million passengers, with an annual estimate of 12 million passengers for the first phase. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plans are already underway for a second runway, with construction slated to begin once the airport reaches 80 percent of its designated passenger capacity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a promising development, airport trials could commence as early as February next year, paving the way for the realization of this ambitious aviation venture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
