DOHA-<\/strong> Qatar Airways Cargo (QR)<\/a> has initiated belly-hold flights to Chengdu (TFU) and Chongqing (CKG), China, commencing on September 23rd and 25th, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These destinations will be served three times a week by Airbus <\/a>A330-300 aircraft, marking a significant addition to Qatar Airways Cargo’s global network. These strategic inclusions will play a vital role in facilitating international trade by connecting China <\/a>with the rest of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qatar Airways Cargo Destinations in China<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Elisabeth Oudkerk, Senior Vice President of Cargo Sales and Network Planning, expressed, \u201cQatar Airways Cargo has been serving the Chinese market since October 2003, when it first introduced belly-hold flights to Shanghai. We are delighted to expand our network in Mainland China with these new destinations, providing our customers with direct belly hold capacity for their imports and exports from these important markets.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qatar Airways Cargo already has an established presence in various Mainland China destinations, including Beijing, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Zhengzhou, collectively offering a weekly cargo capacity of over 2,700 tonnes in both directions, including the newly introduced destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both Chongqing and Chengdu stations will primarily focus on exports, contributing to a combined weekly capacity of 84 tonnes in each direction. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exports will predominantly comprise delicate and high-tech cargo, while imports will encompass a range of goods, including general cargo, fish and seafood, and perishable items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This expansion is in perfect alignment with Qatar Airways Cargo’s ongoing commitment to expanding its global reach and delivering reliable and efficient cargo solutions to its valued clientele.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline’s customers have the convenience of booking cargo online effortlessly and with confidence, utilizing its state-of-the-art Digital Lounge platform or other connected marketplaces that grant access to capacity for its customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Back in 2003, Qatar Airways Cargo marked a pivotal milestone by receiving its inaugural freighter, an Airbus A300-600 converted from a passenger aircraft. It initiated regular service routes to destinations such as Amsterdam and Chennai, quickly expanding to include New Delhi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cargo airline boasts operations to more than 160 destinations, utilizing the belly hold of over 200 passenger aircraft and a fleet of 31 dedicated cargo freighters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
