SEATTLE- <\/strong>Tata Group-owned low-cost subsidiary, Air India Express (IX)<\/a>, the first two Boeing 737 MAX <\/a>have recently been spotted in Seattle by one of the popular and native spotters, BFI Watch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the Paris Air Show 2023, the Tata Air India (AI) Group<\/a> finalized the deal to purchase 190 Boeing 737 MAX. Further, the Indian carrier has 50 737 MAXs on option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air India 737 MAX Delivery Update<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After spotting these beautiful planes in Seattle, the BFI Watch wrote on X (Formerly known as Twitter) that,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘We are approaching the initial deliveries of the Air India X 737 MAX aircraft. VT-BXA<\/strong> (Line Number 7490, originally intended for Shanghai Airlines but not taken up) and VT-BXD<\/strong> (Line Number 8014, not taken up by China Eastern) have both successfully completed their customer flights this week. They will be delivered shortly and subsequently undergo repainting into the new Air India Express livery in India.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luckily, the US-China tension has benefitted Air India\u2019s 737 MAX. As 55 737 MAX, which were earlier designated for Chinese carriers, are being delivered to AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, the first three 737 MAX to be inducted by Air India were earlier designated to Shanghai Airlines (FM). These aircraft have 168 Economy and 8 Business Class Seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0first Boeing 737 MAX 8\u00a0to be inducted by Air India Express was earlier designated Shanghai Airlines, which has MSN 61639. Further, it has the registration\u00a0N5515X<\/strong>, and Indian registration is expected to have\u00a0VT-BXA<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air India Express (IX)\u00a0<\/a>is poised to experience its most rapid expansion since its inception, facilitated by the completion of its merger with AirAsia India and the planned incorporation of approximately 50\u00a0Boeing 737 MAX<\/a>\u00a0aircraft by December 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
