CHARLOTTE-<\/strong> The parents of a teenage girl who was secretly videoed in the lavatory during an American Airlines (AA)<\/a> flight have shared an image they claim shows an iPhone attached to a toilet seat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On September 2, authorities were alerted to meet American Airlines flight AA1441 <\/strong>with Boeing 737<\/a> traveling from Charlotte (CLT) to Boston (BOS). This was in response to a complaint from the mother, who alleged that a male flight attendant had discreetly recorded her daughter in the first-class restroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Girl Secretly Filmed on American Flight<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Upon landing at Boston Logan International Airport, state troopers removed the American Airlines flight attendant from the aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The parents, who wish to remain anonymous, expressed their anger and sense of violation regarding the incident. “I think there’s a real feeling of violation,” said the girl’s father to the New York Post<\/em>. “I believe that as a teenage girl, she’s feeling somewhat embarrassed that something as personal as using the restroom would be recorded in this manner.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The family’s attorney has shared the image, which depicts the cellphone affixed to the toilet lid beneath a sign that reads “seat broken.” The phone’s camera flash seems to be activated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Criminal Act<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Massachusetts State Police issued a statement indicating they were informed of a ‘potential criminal act’ that occurred during the flight. They noted that the investigation had been handed over to the FBI, which has jurisdiction over crimes on domestic flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to reports, the flight attendant, who remains unidentified, directed the teenager to use the restroom in first class, suggesting it would be quicker while she was en route to the coach restroom. He claimed he needed to wash his hands, stating that he had been collecting trash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The teenage girl later informed her parents that the flight attendant spent approximately one minute in the restroom, during which time she took a photo of the iPhone attached to the toilet seat. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attendant allegedly informed her that the seat was broken when she exited the restroom. A passenger on the flight reported seeing the flight attendant re-enter the restroom after the girl left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“When another passenger was about to enter the restroom, the girl’s mother, who had come from the economy cabin, warned them not to enter, explaining that there was a hidden camera inside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Creepy Flight Attendant<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The girl’s father shared that he confronted the four flight attendants with the photo and observed the male flight attendant’s face turn pale. State police subsequently boarded the flight, examined the restroom, and took the male attendant into custody, according to the witness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The father emphasized that he closely watched the ‘creepy’ attendant as he was being escorted off the plane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An American Airlines spokesperson provided a statement to The Independent last week, stating, ‘We take this matter very seriously and are fully cooperating with law enforcement in their investigation, as safety and security are our highest priorities.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n
