SAN FRANCISCO-<\/strong> India’s leading carrier, IndiGo (6E) Airlines,<\/a> announced on September 19 that it is launching flights to San Francisco (SFO)<\/a> via Istanbul (IST) as part of a codeshare connection agreement with Turkish Airlines (TK)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These flights are set to commence on September 25. This will add five more destinations across the US to the Turkish Airlines and IndiGo codeshare network expansion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IndiGo San Francisco Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With the inclusion of the San Francisco route, the codeshare agreement between IndiGo and Turkish Airlines will provide access to 39 additional destinations for travelers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further, IndiGo stated that these flights <\/a>aim to serve business and leisure travelers looking for new and cost-effective flying options to reach destinations. Subsequently, supporting business development and offering tourist attractions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, commented, “This connection to California enhances passenger travel options. Further marking our fifth destination in the US after New York, Washington, Boston & Chicago. As we expand our global network and connect people with favored destinations, we remain committed to delivering on our promise of providing affordable, on-time, courteous, and hassle-free travel experiences across our extensive network.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

USA Codeshare Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In an effort to enhance its global network, IndiGo (6E) has introduced new flight connections through Istanbul to the United States of America (USA)<\/a>. This initiative aims to provide seamless travel options and expanded connectivity for travelers flying with IndiGo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further, the expansion was implemented on June 15, 2023, to provide passengers with enhanced travel options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These new connections will facilitate the growing trade and business activities between the countries and provide expanded choices for students and tourists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IndiGo, which traditionally focused on single-aisle aircraft, took a different approach earlier this year by commencing international operations in Istanbul with a Boeing 777<\/a>. This wide-body aircraft, sourced from its codeshare partner Turkish Airlines, is operated by its pilots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apart from this, IndiGo has launched many other international destinations. This includes flights from Mumbai to Nairobi, Kenya, and Jakarta, Indonesia. Further, Delhi has been connected to Tbilisi, Georgia, Baku, Azerbaijan, Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Almaty, and Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
