DELHI-<\/strong> IndiGo (6E)<\/a>, India’s largest domestic carrier flight from Lucknow (LKO) to Abu Dhabi (AUH)<\/a>, makes an unexpected diversion and emergency landing at Delhi (DEL) on September 16, 2023, due to hydraulic failure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Indian low-cost carrier operates one daily flight between Abu Dhabi and Lucknow with its A320neo <\/a>aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IndiGo Lucknow to Abu Dhabi Emergency<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to FlightRadar24 data, the IndiGo flight 6E93 <\/strong>took off from Lucknow with a two-hour delay at around 2:43 PM UTC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After being airborne for around one hour and 20 minutes, the flight reported some issues with its hydraulic system. At that point, the aircraft was in Pakistani Airspace and made a U-turn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flight crew decided to divert to Delhi (DEL), where it can have better maintenance and customer service facilities. Also, the airline can arrange an alternate airport as it is one of the largest bases of IndiGo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flight landed safely in Delhi at around 5:11 PM UTC. The airline arranged the alternative aircraft at around 4:15 AM IST the next morning. Subsequently, the flight landed in Abu Dhabi at around 5:50 AM IST.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following this, the passenger reached its destination after 10 hours after the actual arrival time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft involved in the incident is Airbus <\/a>A320neo, registered as VT-IPY<\/strong>. Further, it is the newest aircraft and two months old, powered by CFM Leap-1A engines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air India operated the flight, and its flight number was AI610. Further, the airline regularly deploys its Airbus A321s to fulfill the high demands on this route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The plane involved in the incident is Airbus A321-211, and it has the registration\u00a0VT-PPW<\/strong>. According to\u00a0Planespotters.net<\/em>, the fleet tracking and images website, the aircraft is 13 years old and was delivered to Air India in Jan 2010.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
