FRANKFURT-<\/strong> Chicago-based carrier United Airlines (UA) <\/a>flight from Frankfurt (FRA)<\/a> to Houston (IAH) has declared an emergency and returning back to FRA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline has one daily non-stop service between FRA and IAH. Further, it has a codeshare with Lufthansa (LH) <\/a>and puts its flight number on LH-operated Boeing 747<\/a> daily service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

United Frankfurt to Houston Declares Emergency<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Now, let us establish a flight timeline with FlightRadar24 (FR24) data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to FR24, the United Airlines flight UA47 <\/strong>took off from Frankfurt International Airport (FRA) at around 1:22 PM UTC. After being airborne for around one hour, the flight made a U-turn and shortly declared an emergency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flight was over the Celtic Sea when it declared an emergency. By looking at the flight data and pattern, it looks like a medical emergency or some technical issue that needs urgent attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flight is currently airborne and is over France’s airspace at the time of writing this post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft involved in this incident is a Boeing <\/a>777-200ER, registered as N795UA<\/strong>. Further, it is a 25.9 year old aircraft and is powered by two Pratt and Whitney PW4000 engines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another UA Incident<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Chicago-based carrier United Airlines (UA)<\/a> flight from New York (EWR)<\/a> to Rome (FCO) lost cabin pressurization after takeoff dropped 30,000 feet in just seven minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following this incident, the flight made an\u00a0emergency landing<\/a>\u00a0back at Newark, New York (EWR). The US carrier operates two daily flights between EWR and FCO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On September 13, 2023, United Airlines flight\u00a0UA510\u00a0<\/strong>took off from Newark Liberty Int\u2019l Airport (EWR) at around 1:20 AM UTC. The flight suffered a cabin pressurization loss after being airborne for almost 50 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From 2:08 to 2:15 PM UTC, the flight loses approx 30,000 feet. It was at 37,000 and came down to 8,875 feet. After burning and damping some extra fuel, the flight crew decided to make a U-Turn. The aircraft continued its return flight at 9,000 feet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flight landed safely back at EWR at around 4:22 PM UTC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
