ZURICH-<\/strong> SWISS Airlines (LX)<\/a> has made significant progress in its efforts to incorporate the Airbus <\/a>A350-900 into its aircraft fleet. The airline has now completed the cabin layout for the new long-haul twinjet, determining the number of seats in each cabin class. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

SWISS’s Airbus A350-900<\/a>s will accommodate a total of 242 passengers. Notably, the Premium Economy Class will be larger than that of its existing long-haul aircraft, with 38 seats, reflecting the increasing demand for premium leisure air travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SWISS Changes A350s Premium Class<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The integration of the Airbus A350-900 into Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) is scheduled for 2025, and these recent developments represent a significant step in realizing this project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

SWISS has established the specifications for the new twinjets’ passenger cabins, including seat configurations, aisle layouts, restroom placements, and galleys. Additionally, the airline has determined the seat counts for each travel class. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Airbus A350-900s will also introduce the innovative ‘SWISS Senses’ cabin concept, offering passengers a more personalized air travel experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More Spacious Cabin<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The upcoming SWISS Airbus A350-900 will have a total seating capacity of 242 passengers, distributed across various cabin classes as follows: three seats in First Class, 45 seats in Business Class, 38 seats in Premium Economy Class, and 156 seats in Economy Class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of note, the Premium Economy Class on the Airbus A350-900 will consist of 38 seats, significantly larger than the Premium Economy offerings on SWISS’s current long-haul aircraft. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This expansion in Premium Economy is a response to the increasing demand for premium air travel, especially among leisure travelers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SWISS’s Chief Commercial Officer, Tamur Goudarzi Pour, highlights that the spatial design of all cabin classes on their aircraft will offer passengers an entirely new and exceptional air travel experience starting in 2025. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

SWISS intends to maintain its unique position as the only major airline worldwide to provide first-class cabins on all its long-haul flights. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, the airline aims to enhance its Premium Economy Class, which has been well-received, solidifying SWISS’s position as Europe’s premier premium airline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since SWISS will receive its new Airbus A350-900s directly from the factory, the airline has been able to customize the interiors to suit its specific requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A350 Delivery Update<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Starting in 2025, SWISS will receive a total of five Airbus A350-900 aircraft through a gradual delivery process. Over the long term, these new twin-engine long-haul jets will replace the airline’s existing fleet of four-engined Airbus A340-300s. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Airbus A350-900 is renowned for being the most technologically advanced and fuel-efficient aircraft in its category. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It boasts a significant environmental advantage, producing approximately 25 percent fewer carbon dioxide emissions compared to its predecessor and emitting less than half the noise. On average, the A350-900 consumes a mere 2.5 liters of fuel per passenger for every 100 kilometers flown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
