TOULOUSE-<\/strong> The European plane maker Airbus <\/a>delivered 52 aircraft to 34 customers, while it received orders <\/a>for 117 aircraft from multiple operators and airlines in August 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Airbus revealed an order for three A330-900 aircraft from an undisclosed customer, contributing to what has been one of the most robust months this year for securing agreements on long-haul aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Airbus August Orders and Deliveries<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

During this period, Airbus also reported 20 A330-900s<\/a> ordered by lessor Avolon and seven A350s for Air Algerie, consisting of five A350-900s and two A350-1000s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, Airbus confirmed a supplementary order for 75 A321neos<\/a> from Wizz Air, which the budget airline’s shareholders approved, along with an extra 12 A321neos for a customer whose identity has not been disclosed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the first eight months of this year, Airbus accumulated net orders for a total of 1,218 aircraft, with 146 of them being widebodies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Airbus also delivered 433 aircraft during the same period, including 52 in August. The company’s objective is to achieve a total of 720 deliveries by the end of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

July Report<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In July, Airbus continued to demonstrate robust activity in the single-aisle category, securing reservations for 36 aircraft destined for the Turkish budget airline Pegasus Airlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Icelandair\u2019s order placement for 13 A321neos also achieved a noteworthy milestone. This move departed from Icelandair\u2019s previous exclusivity with Boeing, having operated 757s, 767s, and 737 MAX jets<\/a> before the Airbus agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With these developments, Airbus has accumulated a total of 1,101 net orders for aircraft in the current year, with a significant portion consisting of over 950 A320neo-family units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company achieved the delivery of 65 airplanes in July. Subsequently resulting in a cumulative total of 381 deliveries for the year 2023. Airbus is anticipating the transfer of 720 aircraft to customers over the course of this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
