GLASGOW-<\/strong> Enraged travelers at Glasgow Airport (GLA) are seeking explanations for what appears to be a security delay. Individuals active on X, previously recognized as Twitter, have alleged the existence of an ongoing situation at the airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The specifics of this situation remain undisclosed at this point, and the airport has not yet issued any formal statements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chaos at UK’s Glasgow Airport<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Nevertheless, an informant told the Glasgow Times<\/a><\/em> that passengers were undergoing manual passport checks conducted by law enforcement officers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The source conveyed, “Security was temporarily closed, and all travelers were subjected to a police checkpoint just prior to entering the duty-free area.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“They established police stations, and each individual had their passport manually inspected before being granted passage.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I presume they were searching for someone. I spent over an hour in the security queue before it began moving again \u2013 I can only imagine how lengthy it is now.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, a passenger reached out to Glasgow Airport via Twitter, reporting, “There is a significant backlog at both security and the gates.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No Updates to Passengers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

“No passenger is receiving any information whatsoever. The customer service is abysmal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Traveling from UK airports is currently an excruciating ordeal.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another individual commented, “Complete pandemonium at Glasgow Airport this afternoon. It seems there is a police operation in progress, and all travelers are being directed through a manual passport check conducted by law enforcement officers.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yet another passenger voiced concerns, stating, “What is happening with security? Enormous lines and no announcements. Everyone is stuck!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A user on X suggested that all security procedures had come to a standstill and had not moved for 45 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One traveler also messaged Ryanair on X, saying, “There is utter chaos at Glasgow Airport. I cannot make it through security in time for my flight. Will there be any delays to accommodate this?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the meantime, another passenger reported missing a flight to Southampton and still awaiting clearance through security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other Airport Issue<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Travelers at Manchester Airport are facing a comparable circumstance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A user on X reported, “Enormous lines at security in terminal two at the moment! It’s a complete mess!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nevertheless, Manchester Airport responded with the following message: “We apologize for the extended security queue you encountered. Our security teams are dedicated to upholding safety and security standards as mandated by the UK Government.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the Home Office has indicated that they are presently unable to provide any comments regarding the situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
