Tata Sons currently holds a 51% stake, and the remaining 49% is owned by Singapore Airlines (SIA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the merger, SIA\u2019s stake in the merged entity will be reduced to a minority of 25.1%. AirAsia India will be the low-cost carrier after its merger with Air India Express was approved by the CCI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The combined entity resulting from the merger between Tata-owned Air India and Vistara will hold a 25.3% share of India\u2019s domestic passenger market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the notice to the CCI, Air India stated that the merger would not have any impact on the competitive environment.
