LOS ANGELES-<\/strong> Delta Air Lines (DL)<\/a> and Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) have revealed the final significant phase of the $2.3 billion Delta Sky Way at LAX project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Terminal 3 at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)<\/a> is now directly linked to the Tom Bradley International Terminal via airside moving walkways, effectively eliminating the need for terminal-to-terminal busing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delta Sky Way in Los Angeles<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Scott Santoro, Vice President of Global Sales, expressed, ‘This modern, cutting-edge facility has been at the core of Delta\u2019s efforts to establish itself as the premier airline of Los Angeles. As we celebrate the completion of this multi-year project ahead of schedule, we are better positioned than ever to offer Angelenos and all our passengers transiting through LA a truly seamless and elevated travel experience.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier in June, the airline’s western headhouse and Delta One check-in area welcomed customers, providing an additional check-in and security access point. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lobby features self-service kiosks for simplified baggage drop-off and printing boarding passes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lower arrivals level of Terminal 3 accommodates an exclusive Delta One check-in zone, offering customers a private TSA screening lane, direct entry to the Delta Sky Club, light refreshments, and personalized support from Delta’s Elite Service agents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Terminal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Delta’s recently unveiled Terminal 3, spanning 1.2 million square feet with 27 gates, made its debut in April. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The terminal boasts a centralized check-in lobby, an expanded security checkpoint, an enhanced baggage claim area, and a state-of-the-art Delta Sky Club \u2013 one of the largest within Delta’s network. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In October 2022, nine additional gates, expansive seating areas, and concessions were opened, further enhancing the passenger experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Justin Erbacci, Chief Executive Officer of LAWA, expressed his anticipation for positive feedback on the new Terminal 3 and the Tom Bradley International Terminal post-security connector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Erbacci emphasized that this passageway will significantly elevate the travel experience for both international and domestic travelers. He credited Delta, Hensel Phelps, and the entire LAWA team for their dedication to bringing the Delta Sky Way project to fruition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delta at LAX<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

LAX serves as a pivotal coastal hub for Delta, operating over 155 peak-day flights to nearly 55 destinations worldwide, covering 19 out of the top 20 markets for Los Angeles travelers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline continuously expands its list of destinations, introducing new services to previously untapped regions like Auckland, New Zealand (launching on Oct. 30), Jackson Hole, Wyo., and Vail, Colo. (starting Dec. 16).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With around 4,000 employees based in Los Angeles, Delta is deeply involved in the local community, supporting numerous nonprofit organizations across California. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
