Among these, 8,696 flights were canceled, accounting for approximately 1.2% of the total.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This cancellation rate closely aligns with <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=American+Airlines\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">American Airlines (AA)<\/a>, a competitor, which conducted 569,714 flights during the first half of 2023 and experienced 5,552 cancellations, translating to a cancellation rate of 1.2%. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=Delta\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Delta Air Lines (DL)<\/a> encountered a cancellation rate of 1.4% for the first half of the year, and <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=United\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">United Airlines (UA)<\/a> had 2% of its flights canceled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In terms of on-time arrivals, Southwest&#8217;s performance in the first half of the year mirrored that of its competitors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The airline experienced 174,674 delayed arrivals, constituting approximately 24.9% of its flights, with an average delay duration of 36 minutes.
