DELHI-<\/strong> India’s largest carrier, IndiGo (6E) Airlines,<\/a> is venturing into Central Asia<\/strong> by introducing flights to Tashkent (TAS), Uzbekistan, marking the airline’s 31st international and 110th total destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting September 22, 2023, IndiGo will initiate four weekly non-stop flights connecting Delhi (DEL)<\/a> and Tashkent. This strategic move aims to cater to the rising demand for travel to this vibrant city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IndiGo Delhi Tashkent Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Establishing this direct link is anticipated to bolster trade and cultivate more robust economic and cultural connections between India and Uzbekistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vinay Malhotra, who holds the Head of Global Sales position at IndiGo, expressed his excitement. He stated, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rapid Expansion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In July 2023, IndiGo carried more than 76 lakh passengers, which eats up 63.4 percent of the pie. The on-time performance of the carrier remained higher and was around 86.8%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IndiGo has been rapidly expanding its network; the airline has recently added flights to various international destinations. This includes Delhi-Baku, Ahmedabad-Abu Dhabi, Jeddah, Delhi-Tbilisi, Mumbai-Jakarta, Mumbai-Nairobi, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IndiGo Airlines is also engaged in discussions regarding the potential purchase of Boeing\u2019s 787 family of twin-aisle planes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Livemint earlier reported that the competition for IndiGo (6E) Airline\u2019s widebody aircraft order had been narrowed down to two contenders. Either the Boeing 787<\/a> Dreamliner or the Airbus <\/a>A330.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
