As a precautionary measure, the controller revoked the takeoff clearance for the American Airlines Boeing 737.<\/p>\n<cite>FAA Reports<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is conducting an inquiry into the occurrence, which took place around 12:50 p.m. local time on Monday, August 14th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Spirit Airlines flight NK1444 was arriving from Atlanta (ATL) to Boston (BOS). Meanwhile, American Airlines flight AA457Q was departing from Boston (BOS) to Chicago (ORD).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following this, the American Airlines flight was delayed by more than two hours and landed three hours late at ORD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Spirit Airlines aircraft involved in the Incident is Airbus A320neo, registered as N923NK.
