MUMBAI-<\/strong> India’s largest domestic carrier, IndiGo (6E) Airlines <\/a>flight from Rajkot (RAJ) to Mumbai (BOM)<\/a>, made an Emergency landing<\/a> at Ahmedabad (AMD) due to technical issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft involved in the incident is Airbus A320neo, registered as VT-ITX<\/strong>. Further, it is 6.4 years old and was earlier designated to be delivered to Qatar Airways (QR)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IndiGo Emergency Landing at Ahmedabad<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As reported by DeshGujarat<\/a><\/em>, there were 175 passengers onboard the flight. Subsequently, many passengers expressed concern due to the technical snag experienced during takeoff. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now let us establish a complete timeline with the help of FlightRadar24 data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IndiGo flight 6E5222<\/strong> took off from Rajkot (RAJ) with a one-hour delay at around 8:18 PM IST. During takeoff, the flight crew noticed some issues. After 10 minutes, they decided to divert to Ahmedabad (AMD).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At around 8:57 PM, it aligned itself with the runway but did a go-around. Usually, this happens when there is an issue with landing gear, and to evaluate the exterior damage, they make low flypasts or go around. ATC then observe the damage and notify the pilot, and based on this, they land back again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The same happened with the IndiGo flight. It then circled again and attempted to land; this time, it landed safely at around 9:14 PM IST.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline organized a substitute aircraft to convey passengers from Ahmedabad to Mumbai, scheduled for departure at 11:00 PM IST. Eventually, passengers reached Mumbai at midnight via the replacement flight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On August 5, 2023, an IndiGo (6E) flight bound for Ranchi made an emergency landing at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) in Delhi shortly after takeoff due to a technical issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a passenger on board, the pilot informed passengers about the mid-air technical glitch and decided to return to IGI Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to FlightRadar24 data, IndiGo flight 6E2172<\/strong> took off from Delhi (DEL) at 2:19 AM UTC (7:49 AM IST). A few minutes after the Takeoff, the flight crew witnessed vibrations and technical issues with one of its aircraft systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following this, they contacted Delhi ATC and decided to turn back without burning extra fuel. Subsequently, the flight made a heavy landing back at DEL at 2:47 AM UTC (8:17 AM IST). The flight remains airborne for less than 30 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft involved in the incident is 4.5 years old Airbus A320neo, registered as VT-IUB. Further, the IndiGo staff told passengers to remain calm, and another aircraft was being arranged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
