LONDON, UK-<\/strong> London Gatwick Airport (LGW)<\/a> has expanded its long-haul offerings with the addition of a new Ethiopian Airlines (ET)<\/a> route to Addis Ababa (ADD), bringing the total number of long-haul destinations to 50.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The upcoming service will commence on November 21 and will operate thrice weekly. Notably, this marks Gatwick’s first direct flight to the Ethiopian capital since 2006, and it is part of a series of new long-haul routes introduced before the year’s end. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With these developments, the airport has now reinstated over 80% of its pre-Covid long-haul routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the successful launch of five new US routes from London Gatwick by Norse Atlantic (N0)<\/a> earlier this year, the airline is gearing up to introduce services to Miami and Boston in September, followed by routes to Kingston, Montego Bay, and Bridgetown in October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the same vein, British Airways (BA)<\/a> is set to initiate flights between London Gatwick and Accra, Ghana, in October. This comes on the heels of the airline’s recent additions of flights to Las Vegas and Vancouver earlier this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air Mauritius (MK) is preparing for takeoff in October, offering daily flights to Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With these developments, London Gatwick Airport has expanded its reach to a diverse range of long-haul destinations, encompassing the USA, Canada, the Caribbean, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
