This enhancement offers passengers an increased array of options, enabling them to opt for British Airways for their journeys to over 120 short-haul destinations departing from London.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Riga, Latvia (RIX)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

British Airways is set to inaugurate a thrice-weekly route from London Heathrow to Riga, Latvia (RIX), starting on October 29, 2023. The flights will be operated using a combination of A320 and A321 aircraft models. Travelers can secure return fares beginning at \u00a373 or \u00a31 plus 23,500 Avios points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Riga, the capital city of Latvia and the largest in the Baltic states offers a vibrant culinary scene and boasts the world’s largest food market. Further, its distinctive architecture and abundant green spaces make it an appealing destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those considering British Airways Holidays, a variety of thoughtfully curated hotels will be available, and city break packages of two nights will begin from \u00a3169 per person. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will also be Pay with Avios alternatives for Riga, starting at \u00a31 plus 38,275 Avios per person, based on double occupancy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belgrade, Serbia (BEG)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Starting October 31, 2023, British Airways is introducing a new service that operates thrice a week from London Heathrow. Subsequently, the flights will utilize a combination of A320 and A321 aircraft. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, Travelers can secure return fares starting at \u00a3105 or opt for \u00a31 plus 23,500 Avios points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belgrade, situated at the junction of the Sava and Danube rivers in Eastern Europe, is renowned for its rich history, vibrant nightlife, and lively Bohemian district known as Skadarlija.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cologne, Germany (CGN)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n


Starting on October 30, 2023, British Airways is introducing a new service operating 12 times a week from London Heathrow. Subsequently, the flights will utilize a combination of A320 and A321 aircraft. Travelers can secure return fares starting at \u00a392 or opt for \u00a31 plus 18,500 Avios points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aside from the renowned Cologne Cathedral, the city of Cologne boasts exceptional museums, a historic old town, and a vibrant scene featuring authentic German cuisine and beverages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other Additions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

BA Cityflyer, the subsidiary of British Airways located at London City Airport, is set to inaugurate a weekly service to Milan Linate Airport (LIN) to complement the already existing flights from London Heathrow. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flights, operating on Embraer 190 aircraft, will be available on Sundays starting from November 5, 2023, with fares starting from \u00a3112.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, starting on December 10, 2023, weekly winter flights from Heathrow to Turin, Italy (TRN), will also be introduced on Sundays. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new addition will accompany the current daily service from London Gatwick operated by BA Euroflyer, British Airways’ Gatwick-based subsidiary. Travelers can secure return fares starting from \u00a3120.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winter Schedule<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

BA Cityflyer is extending its route to San Sebastian, Spain (EAS) into the winter season, providing direct flights on both Thursdays and Sundays to the Basque Country. Notably, this marks the first time this route will operate year-round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, the airline has confirmed the continuation of Heathrow operations to Ljubljana, Slovenia (LJU) throughout the winter. The service will retain its four-times-weekly schedule, operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, Istanbul’s Sabiha G\u00f6k\u00e7en Airport (SAW) will transition into a year-round destination, maintaining its four-times-weekly service. This route was launched in June 2023 to complement the existing service to Istanbul Airport (IST).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neil Chernoff, British Airways\u2019 Director of Network and Alliances, expressed enthusiasm about the additions to the route network, including Riga, Belgrade, and Cologne. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He emphasized that these lesser-known destinations offer an alternative to the more established cities on the airline’s roster. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chernoff also highlighted the popularity of Italy among customers, noting the increased capacity with the introduction of flights to Milan and Turin, as well as the expanded travel options across Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All flights feature a Club Europe (business class) option, including perks like pre-flight lounge access. Further, a comprehensive meal service with beverages from the bar, priority boarding, and an enhanced baggage allowance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
