FORT WORTH-<\/strong> Starting this Friday, American Airlines (AA)<\/a> flight attendants will commence voting to determine whether the union should have the authority to call a strike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite being the world’s largest airline headquartered in Fort Worth, American Airlines has been engaged in talks with the flight attendants union for over four years<\/strong> without receiving a pay raise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

American Flight Attendant Strike<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Association for Professional Flight Attendants (APFA), based in Euless, represents more than 26,000 flight attendants. The voting process will take place from July 28 to August 29, and the results will be announced on August 30. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following this, the union will organize further pickets at the airline’s hubs across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the vote is successful, it does not guarantee an immediate strike or ensure that a strike will occur. It simply means that the union members have approved the possibility of calling a strike if negotiations reach an impasse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
