The man claimed he has planted a bomb on an Air India plane, mentioning Pakistan and Dubai, which raised serious concerns. However, after thorough inspections, the threat was found to be a hoax. Fortunately, bringing relief to the airport authorities and passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air India Delhi Bomb Threat<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The man behind the fake bomb threat, a resident of Delhi, has been booked under multiple IPC sections. This includes spreading false information, wrongful restraint, public mischief, and criminal intimidation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Though no arrest has been made yet, the Delhi Police is taking the matter seriously and pursuing legal action against the accused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a recent incident on Saturday, the accused posted a threatening message on the IGI airport’s Facebook page. He wrote, “Bomb run… Air India Dubai, Delhi, Bomb, Pakistan.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The authorities promptly responded to the potential security breach by conducting mandatory checks with the assistance of CISF and other security personnel. They suspected a possible connection to a Pakistan-bound flight, heightening concerns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, upon thorough inspection, the Delhi Police confirmed that the message was a mere prank orchestrated by the accused to amuse a friend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the false nature of the threat, the situation caused a temporary halt in the flights on the runway and an extensive sweep of the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The shift in charge overseeing social media for the airport promptly reported the matter to the authorities, leading to a swift response. Thankfully, no real threat was discovered, and the passengers and airport staff were out of harm’s way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hijacking Threat<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Earlier last week, Delhi Police took immediate action after a call to an Air India (AI) <\/a>call center in Pune on July 13, threatening the hijacking of a Delhi-Tel Aviv flight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The caller, claiming to be Anurag from Assam, reported overhearing a conversation about hijacking the mentioned flight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A special security committee convened to discuss the matter from 9.16 am to 11.15 am on July 13, as stated in the FIR filed by Delhi Police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
