DELHI-<\/strong> Delhi Police took immediate action on Sunday after a call to an Air India (AI) <\/a>call center in Pune on July 13, threatening the hijacking of a Delhi-Tel Aviv flight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The caller, claiming to be Anurag from Assam, reported overhearing a conversation about hijacking the mentioned flight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air India Received Hijacking Threat<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In response to the threat, a meeting of the BTAC (Bomb Threat Assessment Committee) was held at Guwahati airport. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A special security committee convened to discuss the matter from 9.16 am to 11.15 am on July 13, as stated in the FIR filed by Delhi Police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delhi Police has been conducting an investigation into the incident, and so far, no suspicious findings have emerged. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The probe is still ongoing, and the case has been registered at the IGI Airport Police station under sections 82, 341, 505(1)(b), and 507 of the IPC, as reported by the police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similar Incident<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

 According to authorities, the SpiceJet (SG)<\/a> office in Udyog Vihar experienced a distressing incident when a bomb threat call <\/a>is received on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the police officer, the call was received on a landline number of the airline on 22 June Thursday late evening. The caller said he had planted a bomb in the office, which would explode soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The caller explicitly claimed to have placed an explosive device within the office premises, mentioning its imminent detonation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response, the Udyog Vihar police station promptly dispatched a team comprising a bomb disposal squad. Further, a dog squad to search the office thoroughly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following an extensive search that lasted close to two hours, the police have confirmed that no suspicious item is discovered at the office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The authorities have declared that the incident is a false alarm initiated by an anonymous individual to instill fear. Subsequently, an FIR (First Information Report) has been lodged at the Udyog Vihar police station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
