Further, the plane owner has hidden the tracking of the plane, so it’s difficult to determine its flight history.

But we dig deeper and found out that the aircraft is possibly leased from Span Air by an Indian charter company. Subsequently, according to the website, it is delivered to them back in 2008. As per the source, it frequently operates flights to and from Bangalore city.

The HAL Spokeperson, Gopal Sutar, told India Express about the incident and confirmed the nose gear failure. He stated, ‘A private aviation aircraft departed for Bangalore International Airport but had to return to HAL due to a landing gear problem. Upon investigation, it was discovered that the nose wheel was not fully deployed.’

‘Emergency landing clearance was granted, and all necessary safety measures were implemented to prevent any fire hazards on the runway. Despite the absence of a functioning nose wheel, the aircraft successfully landed. The pilots emerged unharmed, and the runway remained undamaged. Efforts are currently underway to recover the disabled aircraft,’ added Mr. Sutar.

Photo: kparks

Similar Incident

Delta Air Lines (DL) has reported that a Boeing 717 aircraft, operating as Delta Flight 1092, successfully landed at Charlotte Douglas International Airport on Wednesday morning despite its landing gear not being extended.

The incident, although rare, showcased the expertise of Delta’s flight crews in managing unexpected scenarios. With a focus on passenger and crew safety, the plane was brought to a safe stop on the runway.

Passengers and crew members on board included two pilots, three flight attendants, and 96 individuals in total.
