MUNICH-<\/strong> Passengers aboard a Lufthansa (LH)<\/a> flight from Munich International Airport (MUC) to Sofia International Airport (SOF) experienced an unexpected and disruptive incident, as a naked passenger caused a significant delay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flight LH1704 is originally slated to depart MUC airport at 16:00 local time on June 23, 2023. However, shortly after boarding the Airbus<\/a> A320 aircraft, the situation took an unusual turn when a 27-year-old woman began removing her clothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response to the escalating situation, the aircraft promptly returned to the gate, seeking assistance in managing the disruptive passenger. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police officers were swiftly summoned to the cabin to address the situation and restrain the unruly individual, who was also reportedly screaming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to German media outlet NTV, despite the intervention of the officers, the woman remained uncooperative and refused to cover herself. One of the police officers attempted to provide some semblance of privacy by wrapping a blanket around her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shockingly, the situation further deteriorated when the woman bit the officer on the left forearm. Consequently, the officers were compelled to resort to “immediate coercion” and forcibly remove the passenger from the aircraft. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Subsequently, she was taken to a local hospital under the supervision of state police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to the unexpected incident and subsequent resolution, the flight eventually departed over three hours behind schedule. Further causing inconvenience for the passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incident occurred during an international flight departing from Paris and headed to Detroit, Michigan. In response to the disruptive behavior shown by a 34-year-old passenger, a Delta flight was diverted to a Canadian airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to reports by wxyz<\/a>, the individual instilled fear among fellow travelers and the airline crew, prompting immediate intervention. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Witnessing the unsettling situation, passenger Dena Haddad shared her concerns, stating, \u201cSomeone was being violent, and they wouldn\u2019t calm down. We wanted to get here as soon as possible. It was scary for a little bit.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Airline staff promptly restrained the unidentified man, whose erratic behavior led to the intervention. Nicolas Fougere, a passenger onboard the flight, recalled that his seatmate observed a heated argument between the suspect and another traveler, ultimately resulting in the crew restraining the individual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fougere noted, \u201cThe person who was sitting next to me had tried to go to the restroom, and she saw two people arguing. The crew told her to go to a different bathroom.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite initial restraints, the suspect managed to break free before the plane\u2019s touchdown. However, five to six other passengers quickly intervened, subduing the individual until the flight could make an emergency landing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incident forced the flight, carrying 261 passengers, to divert to Stephenville Dymond Airport in Newfoundland, Canada, approximately six hours into the journey, as reported by FlightAware.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
